Solid State Variable Speed AC Electric Motor Control

This control is designed for shaded pole and PSC motors, providing infinite variable speed. The maximum amperage rating must not be exceeded to avoid damaging both the control and the motor. It is crucial to ensure that the motor has sufficient torque to prevent stalling, as a stalled motor can quickly overheat and burn out. Additionally, a fan blade must be installed on the motor shaft for direct drive cooling; this control is not compatible with gear motors. Please note that installed controls cannot be returned.

With a design suitable for a standard 2" x 4" electrical wall box, this control has a maximum amperage of 2.5 amps at 115 volts and is approved by UL and CSA. However, it is not suitable for use with capacitor start or capacitor run motors. This control is particularly well-suited for use with fans, blowers, fireplace blowers, attic fans, humidifiers, and ventilators.
